Servo Expression Face — Laue Labs engineering pack

Servo Expression Face

Build a laser-cut 3mm birch face with 3× SG90 micro servos driving brows and jaw via simple linkages (2 eye servos are an advanced option: eye brackets not supplied). Program expression presets using PWM. Keep it on a desk as a robotics-club piece.

Pack contents

  • Face plate + linkage blank SVGs
  • Build guide: cut, link, wire, calibrate
  • First-principles: PWM, linkages, coordinated DOF
  • Expression preset firmware
  • Verified BOM (~$38–111 hardware)

Typical hardware cost

Default structure is laser-cut birch plywood with real fasteners and hobby electronics you can source—honest BOM, not mystery modules.

  • ~$38–111 in typical parts (makerspace cut toward the low end; mail-order toward the high end)
  • Digital pack price ≠ hardware

The $12 pack is the digital guide + cut files + BOM + lessons + code, plus printable Builder's Corner build journal pages. Hardware is sourced separately — see Where to get kit materials. Buy with Stripe is live below.
